Your home page: latest announcement and community
Orquiva has no social wall: your home page shows the latest announcement, and Community brings together your colleagues, the org chart and surveys.
Orquiva has no social feed. There are no posts from colleagues, no comments, no reactions and no kudos, in any company or on any plan. What you have is the latest announcement block on your home page and the Community section, where you’ll find your colleagues, the org chart and surveys.
The latest announcement, on your home page
When you sign in, your Home page has a block with the Latest announcement your company published for you: who wrote it, when, the title and the first few lines. Below it you’ll see how many announcements you haven’t read yet.
- Click the announcement or View all to go to your inbox, which is where announcements are read in full. The inbox doesn’t open that specific announcement: look for it in the list, it’s usually near the top.
- If there are none, the block is titled Announcements and says No new announcements.
- If you can publish announcements, the block also shows New announcement.
Only one announcement is shown, the most recent. Each announcement is aimed at an audience, so your home page doesn’t have to match a colleague’s. Everything else about announcements, including read acknowledgment, is in Announcements.
Community
Community is the menu entry for seeing who works with you. It has three tabs:
| Tab | What you see | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Opens by default. The company list with | Search in | |
| The tree of who reports to whom | Move around it and zoom in or out | |
| The surveys you've been asked to answer, as | Answer the pending ones |
Tenure is counted from your start date: in years, in months or Just joined. The directory and the org chart have their own articles: Colleagues: the company directory and The org chart.
If you don't see Community in the menu
The menu entry is access your company chooses to give, and the factory Employee role doesn’t include it. The page is still there: when you’re assigned a survey, the inbox alert has View the survey and takes you to Community anyway. If you’d like the menu entry, ask HR.
Board isn’t a wall
Performance has a Board tab. It isn’t a message board: it’s the card board where your department organizes its team goals. It’s explained in Goals.
What happens next
Nothing on these pages posts anything on your behalf. Seeing the announcement on your home page doesn’t mark it as read: it’s marked when you open it in your inbox, and only in that browser.
If something goes wrong
I’m looking for where to post something for my colleagues. Orquiva doesn’t have that feature. The only things published are announcements, and they’re created by administrators or whoever has that permission. If you need to tell everyone something, ask them.
I can’t comment on or react to an announcement. Comments and reactions don’t exist in Orquiva. If you have a question about an announcement, talk to whoever published it.
The home page block says No new announcements and I know there is one. That announcement may be aimed at a different audience. Check your inbox in case there’s an older one.
I search for a colleague by email and nothing comes up. Search colleagues… only searches by name, position and worksite.
I can’t find someone who has left the company. People whose leaving date has already passed don’t appear in Colleagues.
